Arrival in Paro — transfer to Thimphu

Welcome at Paro Airport and private drive to Thimphu. Evening conservation briefing with your naturalist guide.

Thimphu conservation circuit

Motithang Takin Preserve, the Royal Botanical Park and a forest walk covering Bhutan's endemic flora and protected species.

Thimphu — Punakha via Dochula

Drive to Punakha over Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens and alpine meadow trail. Riverside birding in the Punakha valley.

Phobjikha Valley — wetland conservation

Transfer to the glacial Phobjikha Valley. Visit the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre and walk the Gangtey Nature Trail among grazing yaks.

Phobjikha — Paro

Morning wetland walk, then a scenic drive to Paro with panoramic Himalayan ridgeline stops along the way.

Paro valley walk — departure

Kyichu Lhakhang and a final riverside valley walk before transfer to Paro International Airport.
