Paro – Thimphu – Punakha – Paro — a day-by-day plan operated by our licensed guides, with overnight stops, drive times and highlights confirmed before you travel.

Arrive Paro – Thimphu

Arrival and transfer to Thimphu. Evening welcome dinner with your dedicated wedding coordinator to confirm ceremony arrangements. Overnight at hotel, Thimphu.

Thimphu sightseeing & ceremony planning

Visit Buddha Dordenma and Tashichho Dzong, then meet with monks for a pre-wedding blessing consultation. Fitting for traditional Bhutanese wedding attire (gho and kira). Overnight at hotel, Thimphu.

Thimphu – Punakha

Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Fertility Temple, before checking into a riverside venue overlooking the Mo Chhu. Overnight at hotel, Punakha.

Wedding ceremony day

The ceremony opens with a traditional Marchang libation ritual and monk blessings, followed by the exchange of vows against a Punakha Dzong or riverside backdrop. Evening celebratory dinner with archery demonstrations and folk performances. Overnight at hotel, Punakha.

Punakha – Paro

Leisurely drive back to Paro via Tamchog Lhakhang. Afternoon at leisure — spa treatments available. Overnight at hotel, Paro.

Taktsang couple's hike

Hike together to Taktsang Monastery, followed by a private picnic lunch. Evening farewell dinner and photo album handover. Overnight at hotel, Paro.

Departure
